I work to protect human rights online.
I am a senior policy analyst at the Center for Democracy & Technology where I lead policy advocacy and research related to multilingual access to online services and kid’s safety. I have authored reports and collaborated with expert researchers related to multilingual AI, content moderation, global internet governance, and more. I am a member of the Christchurch Call Advisory Network and the Trust & Safety Professionals’ Association. I have been published in CNN, Wired, Foreign Policy, Teen Vogue, Lawfare, Ms Magazine, Tech Policy Press, The Wire and Indian Express and am a frequently quoted in the popular press including in the Washington Post, Barron’s, Rest of World, and The New Scientist.
Before CDT, I worked at Ranking Digital Rights, a leading research institution working to hold technology companies accountable to their human rights obligations under the UN Guiding Principles on Business & Human Rights and on the 2020 US Census, working to expand access to the decennial census sitting on the New York City City-wide Census Taskforce.
